Lite DePalma Greenberg, LLC is investigating a recent study appearing in Cancer Prevention Research states that the use of talc-based products on a woman’s genitals increases the risk of ovarian cancer.
Talc is a mineral composed of several different elements, including magnesium and silicon. In loose form, it is widely known as baby powder or talcum powder and its absorbency makes it a popular cosmetic product. However, it can travel through the vagina, uterus, and fallopian tubes and end up at the ovaries, increasing the risk of ovarian cancer, if applied to the genital area on a regular basis.
If you or a loved one have regularly used talc on the genital area and have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, you may have a cause of action against the manufacturer of the talc-based product. The lawyers at Lite DePalma Greenberg, LLC are available to consult on this potential claim.
